DEHS lawyers act as lead negotiators on collective agreement negotiations, as well as in various forms of mediation and conciliation processes. As well, our lawyers regularly provide training seminars to clients dealing with various labour and employment law issues.
The DEHS team represents clients in matters before the Manitoba Labour Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, grievance arbitration panels appointed under collective agreements, the Manitoba Human Rights Commission, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba Appeal Commission, the Workplace Safety and Health Branch, the Director of Employment Standards and the Public Service Staff Relations Board (Canada). We also regularly appear in the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench and Federal Court of Canada on employment and labour law related matters.
