Jonathan Katz commenced his articles at Duboff Edwards Haight & Schachter in May of 2016 and became an associate after his call to the bar in Manitoba in June of 2017. Jonathan’s practices areas include Employment Law, Administrative and Regulatory Law, Indigenous Law and Family Law.
Jonathan is licensed to practice law in the territory of Nunavut. Over the last year Jonathan has started to focus his practice on issues arising in the Territory of Nunavut, with an emphasis on project development, land transactions, governance and treaty negotiations.
Jonathan has been a member of Collaborative Practice Manitoba since May of 2018. Jonathan believes that resolving family disputes cooperatively and collaboratively helps deescalate conflict and minimizes the emotional toll that divorce has on all those involved.
Jonathan graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Manitoba, Robson Hall in June of 2016 and was the winner of the Robson Hall Negotiation Competition and the Mr. Justice Gerald W.E. Mercier Prize for highest standing in Advanced Family Law.
Jonathan serves as the Co-Chair for Duboff Edwards Haight & Schachter’s United Way Fundraising Campaign.
