Aliza Lalji

Articling Student

Aliza began at Duboff Edwards Schachter as a student-at-law in 2019 and returned in 2021 to complete her articles with the firm.

Aliza holds an LL.M from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law where she achieved a 4.0 GPA. In 2020, she completed a First-Class (Honours) LL.B. from the University of Leeds graduating in the top 10% of her class, and was the recipient of a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. During law school, Aliza was a member of the mooting society and was one of two students selected from her class to compete at the MacKay Cup in London, UK. Aliza has also obtained a B.Comm (Honours) from McMaster University.

Before law, Aliza worked for several corporations including Ricoh Canada and BMW Canada in marketing analytics and accounting-based roles.  Aliza speaks Kutchi fluently, and is currently learning French. Aliza’s hobbies include traveling, cooking, spending time with family, staying active, and binge watching true crime documentaries.
